GLS logistics business unit performs its activities with defined guidelines that falls into the following phases of any logistical activity:

     I.        Procurement

GLS enjoys international relationships with the main suppliers for items related to Information technology, communications, construction, heavy equipment, electrical supplies, medical, furniture and much more.

This team works closely with our clients to acquire required items meeting the client’s specifications, time of delivery and pre-specified budgets.

The team has also developed an in house Procurement Catalogue that collects all items available to clients upon request. Our catalogue is updated periodically with multiple versions per year where prices and specifications of items are re-verified updated. This catalogue is available for clients through their web portal accounts that can be requested by email at info@glsgrp.com.

Moreover, the team works closely with the clients through a single point of contact from purchasing till delivery to satisfy all the client’s requests.

   II.        Transportation

GLS transportation services covers land, air and sea movements across multiple countries. The footprint of operation reaches all major international ports in Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and the Americas.

The transportation team categorizes movements by size, expected time of delivery, origination and destination. After collecting such information the team will calculate the associated cost and present it in a simplified menu format for clients to pick and choose based on their budgets.

GLS operates with a renowned global network of transporters and is able to comply with clients requirements including remote or high risk areas. In many occasions the transportation team works closely with the warehousing team and security detailers to ensure complete and timely delivery.

GLS has also developed an in house tracking system for clients to sustain real-time flow of information on their goods during transportation. The client can then communicate with their account manager representative using online chat window for any further details. The information technology solution can also accommodate for special requirements of clients that has LTSA (Long Term Service Agreements) where integration to their in-house systems is possible.

The transport unit does not only handle goods and packages but also works with transportation of passengers. GLS has long term agreements with Airliners and access to leasing aircrafts to enhance its PAX transportation services. Moreover, GLS has access to a fleet of buses and shuttles where land transportation of PAX can interconnect with air transport.

 III.        Warehousing

GLS provides storage services as 3PL for its dry, secured, managed storage space. The space is equipped with open or shelves storage lines were our staff manage the movement of goods to and from the docking areas for loading and transportation.

Catered Warehousing Services

  1. The public warehousing service is a multi-client warehouse with flexible space and flexible pricing that evolves with clients business needs; 
  2. The pick-and-pack which works on as a distribution point for clients who wish to outsource distribution activities;
  3. Cross-docking which allows clients to consolidate products from multiple manufacturers (suppliers) into one point strategically operated as single point of distribution;
  4. Contract warehousing is a tailor made warehousing requirements to satisfy project and specific customer needs

 All Catered Warehousing Services also includes the state of the art information tracking solution (web-enabled) where clients are able to receive live feeds of their inventory levels and manage stock movements. This application can also be integrated to existing clients information systems with combined or translated alerts.
